For the Makgeolli's Globalization

Because ‘Korean Wave’ and government’s ‘Korean Food Globalization project’, Makgeolli was able to grow shaply since last 3 years. But export as well as domestic needs is decrease recently. The reason is that We didn’t forecast japanese market which major percentage of Makgeolli’s export and didn’t adjust foreign market’s diversity. Also That is reason, Japanese traditional alcohol, The Sake’s success. So now, How we’ll do that Makgeolli’s Globalization?

Makgeolli’s cultural side is important
The most highlighted part is Makgeolli’s function, that is lactobacillus anticancer effect and skin care, when Makgeolli boom happened. Although those function were effective to creation of demand, those never keep long. Therefore it is the important that Mkgeolli’s cultural side. For examples, Each local Makgeolli's history, Makgeolli's glass called 'Sabal' and Sharing the Korean's joys and sorrows.

We have to make Makgeolli that goes well with both Korean foods and foreign foods.
Review the past Makgeolli contents of promotion, That was constantly talked, Makgeolli goes well with Korean food. That is correct. But we were too much focus on Korean foods so that we give people in other countries for example, French, Italy, Japanese, and Chinese, a mistaken impression of that Makgeolli isn’t not goes well with foreign foods. We haven’t to build a wall around Korean foods category to Makgeolli.

Focus on Makgeolli’s uniqueness
Korean Makgeolli industry and culture have a lot of appeal point than foreign alcohol. Makgeolli have some carbonic acid, dietary fiber, vitamin and beautiful ivory color. Especially the carbonic acid and ivory color is most important feature. Strawberry or some others fruit Makgeolli is good. But for the globalization, we have to focus on the original Makgeolli’s feature, like a Sake was did it

Grow the domestic market
Before the globalization, We have to grow the domestic market. Because People are still thinking that Makgeolli is cheap and old alcohol, the domestic market didn't growed. If domestic market isn't grow, the globalization isn’t exist. We’ll change our mind to Makgeolli and Manufacturer have to aim making higher grade Makgeolli for domestic and foreign market.

Over the future
From this change, Makgeolli’s cultural side will advance. If All that korean people will become the Makgeolli honorary ambassador, The Makgeolli’s globalization is naturally go along.
